Rate: £28.95 per hour umbrella

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Highways Site Engineer to join a local authority team in North Yorkshire.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing operational management and site engineering expertise for a range of highway-related projects. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations of highways and construction works, directing both operatives and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Supervise and project manage schemes from implementation to handover, ensuring quality, budget control, safety, and compliance.
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Hold relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience in highway/construction-related activities as a site engineer.
• Knowledge and understanding of NEC contracts.
• Experience in planning MSP and dealing with SCPs.
• Ability to manage and maintain accurate site records.
• Experience in measuring and claiming.
• Prepare HSEQ files.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license.
