Our client, an award winning engineering consultancy is seeking to recruit a Structural Engineer to join their office in Warwick. As the Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality structural designs that range from multi-storey structures to small housing schemes. The role will involve the design of structures using the common construction materials of steel, timber, masonry and reinforced concrete. 

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for all stages of project evolution from feasibility and concept to detailed design work, planning support, through to project construction and commissioning.
  • Involved in multi-disciplinary projects that requires liaising with Engineers internally and external Clients/Stakeholders to provide cost-effect infrastructure solutions.
  • Prepare technical details for Architectural design and prepare technical specifications.
  • Conducting structural assessments.
  • Responsible for leading and/or undertaking analysis, design and checking of engineering design works in reinforced concrete and structural steelwork, using appropriate design and analysis software.
  • Offer a consultative advisory approach to clients to ensure the best solution is offered to meet their needs.
  • Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring the project complies with statutory requirements, especially health and safety.
  • Undertake site and client office visits, as per project requirements.

Skills & Experience Required:
  • Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Design experience in all common building materials.
  • An ability to take a global view of structural design on a project, identifying potential problems and solutions and providing advice to clients on design options.
  • Experience in the use of Eurocodes.
  • Proficiency in industry related software such as AutoCAD, TEDDS and preferably TEKLA.
