Senior Systemwide Engineer

The primary purpose of this system role is to manage and deliver strategic, multidisciplinary engineering projects addressing key integration challenges across a new railway system in the UK.

You will focus on key areas of critical risk across the new network, working up concept solutions, monitoring how the design comes together and the results in a lab environment. 

With the gravitas to pull together a team across the business and supply chain, you will need to have strong stakeholder skills and interpersonal abilities.

For creditability you will need a railway background in one of the core areas and involved into multidisciplinary interfaces.  A understand of Control systems such as SCADA or Signalling systems could be helpful to complement the team, but any systems interaction across rail disciplines is of interest.

This role is about identifying potential system interface problems on a new, and not yet operational railway, and have the strategic and technical knowledge to bring teams together to explore and solve this wonderful and interesting challenges. 

UK Rail system experience is key, though being new, will bring new challenges and opportunities.
