Pension Team Leader

Pensions Team Leader – £400 per day (Umbrella) – North London/Hybrid

A London Local Authority is seeking an interim Pensions Team Leader to join the Pension Fund team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise Pension Officers and Apprentices, including allocating and checking work.
• Handle the full range of LGPS calculations (cradle to grave), ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Provide expert support with complex member queries and calculations.
• Assist the Pensions Manager with all aspects of LGPS administration.

Requirements:

• Strong experience working within the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
• In-depth knowledge of LGPS regulations and their practical application.
• Proven ability to manage a pensions team and oversee technical work.
• Experience with Altair desirable (other pensions systems will be considered).
