Interim Head of Asset Management
I am recruiting for an Interim Head of Asset Management for a London Local Authority.
You will act as the Interim Head of Asset Management role in the Property & Major Programmes Division within the Place Directorate for a fixed term period of 6 months.
Providing strategic direction, corporate leadership and advice on all strategic asset management and development matters that supports the regeneration of the borough through public and private sector redevelopment. To provide valuation and commercial estate management services on behalf of all Directorates of the Council to ensure a cost effective service to manage the Council’s £1bn asset portfolio. You will be responsible for leading the asset review work required in evaluating the portfolio in accordance with the current CAP.
You will be responsible for the management of all non-housing property through the Corporate Landlord operating model, ensuring that buildings are fit for purpose, support service delivery and provide value for money. To provide corporate advice and assistance in the procurement of all property-related services, and to provide effective monitoring of service providers to ensure that objectives are achieved. This includes managing processes for outsourcing activity and the implementation and management of those contracts for the delivery of valuation advice (such as asset valuations, insurance valuations and rating advice) for other teams within the Council.
You will need to be collaborative in style, and be able to promote the profile of your service as well as be able to demonstrate your ability through your track record of success in your chosen area. You will be someone who is able to build strong relationships and maintain those across Directorates, successfully leading and motivating your team to do the same.
You will need to have extensive experience of valuation, asset management and estate management practice as well experience of managing teams in this environment.
