Desktop Support Engineer
I am currently recruiting for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a major Local Authority in the Dorset area.
My client is looking for someone to provide second line ICT technical support and installation services for a wide range of software and hardware platforms, including all supported desk based and mobile devices. The objective is to handle second-line support calls, provide maintenance, be involved in major project implementation, identify and resolve common and repeat issues and liaise effectively with third parties during the support lifecycle of ICT products.
Candidates applying must hold a full driving license as some travel between sites will be necessary. Local authority experience is advantageous but not essential. You should have knowledge of application packaging and OS deployment using SCCM or similar, experience of current hardware and software support including cloud and thin client technologies and ECDL, CompTIA, ITIL foundation, A+ or equivalent.
