We are currently working with a consultancy working with a local authority who are looking for a Planning Officer to join their Street Lighting design team in Stockport, Cheshire. As Planning Officer, you will be involved in a scheme replacing all current lighting to LEDs under the viaducts in Stockport.

As Planning Officer your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Liaising with all stakeholders including Network Rail, Town Centre Management, Planning Office, Historic England, and contracts to ensure all planning conditions for the project are met and carried out to correct standards and specification.
• Providing updates and reports as the scheme progresses.
• Inspect plans, carry out site visits and assess development proposals and possible breaches of planning control.
• Keeping comprehensive notes of site visits and meetings, and drafting reports for submission to planning committees, or others.

Job requirements.

• Familiar with Planning applications/processes/submissions, etc.
• Local authority Highways experience is preferred.
