Road and Street Works Inspector
Location: London
Salary: £40,005.00 per annum

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Road and Street Works Inspector to join a London Local Authority team. 

Responsibilities:

• Undertake the inspection, recording, and reporting of street works, highway infrastructure, and surface apparatus defects in accordance with street works legislation, associated regulations, codes of practice, and other relevant highways legislation.
• Ensure that all works on the highway are carried out in a safe and legal manner, as required under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, and address any breaches accordingly.
• Prepare prosecution witness statements against illegal and unlicensed activities.

Requirements:

• Must hold a NRSWA accreditation.
• Extensive street works experience in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.
• A good understanding of Local Authority and highways network operations.

Key Competencies:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and reporting.
• Excellent knowledge of street works legislation and associated regulations.
