Are you a talented Content Designer with a passion for creating user-centric content and improving online experiences? My client is seeking a skilled individual to join their team in South West London for a challenging and rewarding contract role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review the structure of content in the adult social care section of the Council's website and regroup/reorganize pages to better meet user needs.
- Identify and eliminate redundant/duplicate content for a more streamlined and user-friendly experience.
- Rewrite existing pages and create new pages as necessary to meet established user needs for information/tasks related to adult social care.
- Ensure all content is optimized for search engines, researching keywords and supplying them to our internal search tool.
- Build new pages in the CMS (Content Management System) for review and publication by the web team.
- Collaborate closely with service subject matter experts to ensure accurate and comprehensive content.
- Work collaboratively with the team and other content designers to review and develop new content.
- Proven experience as a Content Designer with a focus on improving user experience and optimizing content for search.
- Strong understanding of content strategy and information architecture.
- Experience in CMS, with the ability to build and publish pages.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work with service subject matter experts to gather and validate content.
- Familiarity with keyword research and SEO best practices.
- Take responsibility for content quality, managing small teams, and mentoring content colleagues.
- Write and map user stories for large-scale projects.
- Review the work of others to assure quality and adherence to content strategy.
- Lead on cross-government content projects.
- Engage with and contribute to the cross-government content community.
