Rate: £56.84 per hour (umbrella)

A Berkshire Local Authority is seeking an experienced Capital Programme Projects Manager to join their team on an interim basis. This role is a fantastic opportunity to assist the Capital Projects Delivery Manager in the management and delivery of capital projects, the annual capital maintenance programme, and other key strategic and service objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing a comprehensive 3-year programme of capital maintenance works.
  • Support the delivery and management of various capital projects from inception to completion.
  • Contribute to the achievement of strategic and service objectives related to capital project delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary consultancy teams for construction projects.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and practices, including Prince 2 and the RIBA Plan of Works.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction project management.
  • Professional qualification relevant to construction project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, RICS).
  • Demonstrable experience and expertise in managing construction projects.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the RIBA Plan of Works.
  • Ability to effectively identify, engage, and lead a multidisciplinary consultancy team.
  • Strong understanding of the local government environment and its impact on capital project delivery.
