Principal Town Planner

Principal Town Planner (Interim)
Location: East London (Hybrid Working)
Rate: £41.64 - £50.00 per hour (Umbrella)

We are currently recruiting for an Interim Principal Planner for a London Local Authority with a strong track record of delivering complex, large-scale developments and the capability to sign off delegated reports.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in development management, with extensive experience handling complex and strategic developments.
• Comprehensive understanding of the issues and developments affecting planning, regeneration, and local government in London.
• Strong knowledge of central government and development plan policy issues from a development management/placemaking perspective.
• In-depth understanding of planning legislation and a good grasp of related legislation, including local government law.
• A sound level of political awareness and a good understanding of local government operations, particularly in the context of development management and placemaking.
