Location: South West London / Hybrid
Rate: £33.51 per hour (Umbrella)

A local authority in South West London is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their in-house construction design team on an interim basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative and diverse team, delivering a wide range of capital projects across the borough.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of a small team of Building Surveyors, you will be responsible for delivering projects across all RIBA Stages. You will work closely with clients to identify requirements, develop design proposals, and see projects through to completion. Project types include:

• Leisure centres
• Residential buildings
• Cemeteries
• Day centres
• Libraries
• Care homes
• Family hubs
• Historical monuments

About You:

We’re looking for candidates with 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a local authority or multidisciplinary environment. The ideal candidate will have:

• Proficiency in CAD software
• Strong understanding of technical building regulations and British Standards
• Experience preparing detailed building specifications using NBS
• Proven ability in JCT contract administration
• Skilled in carrying out building surveys and pre-purchase reports
• Party wall knowledge (advantageous)
• RICS qualification preferred but not essential
