Interim GIS Analyst (Interim) – Central London/Hybrid – £343/day (Umbrella)

About the Role
A Central London Local Authority is looking to appoint an experienced GIS Analyst on an interim basis to support the development, maintenance, and delivery of its Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This is a vital role that underpins service delivery across the Council by ensuring the effective use of spatial data and mapping tools.
You’ll play a key part in managing the Council’s GIS infrastructure, supporting internal teams through the IT helpdesk, and using the ESRI ArcGIS suite—including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online—to deliver interactive maps, manage spatial data layers, and provide access to GIS services and APIs.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide responsive GIS support via the IT helpdesk.
• Develop, test, and publish interactive maps and spatial datasets.
• Maintain, update, and edit GIS data layers, including polygon creation.
• Administer ArcGIS Server, including performance troubleshooting and restarts.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored GIS solutions.

About You
We're looking for a proactive and technically capable GIS professional who can hit the ground running in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will bring:

• Extensive experience with ESRI ArcGIS tools, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• A strong track record of building, testing, and publishing spatial data and map applications.
• Experience in ArcGIS Server administration and maintenance.
• Excellent spatial data management skills, including editing and layer creation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
