M&E Surveyor

M&E Surveyor – East London – £36.40 per hour (umbrella)

An East London Local Authority is seeking an experienced Interim M&E Surveyor to support the delivery and management of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) works across its property portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the M&E Manager and wider team with all aspects of M&E works, including electrical, mechanical, and specialist systems.
• Carry out on-site surveys, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance, safety, and performance standards are met.
• Support maintenance and project activities across systems such as door entry, CCTV, dry risers, lightning protection, boosted water pumps, automated gates and barriers, TV aerials, fire alarms, AOVs, sprinkler systems, ASHP, MVHR, solar panels, and roof extractor fans.
• Work both in the office and on-site, ensuring records and reports are accurately maintained.
• Use Microsoft Office and related software to manage data, produce reports, and maintain documentation.

Essential Requirements:

• Strong trade background, ideally in electrical, fire alarm, or door entry systems.
• Relevant trade qualifications (to be produced).
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
