Electrical Services Surveyor

Electrical Services Surveyor – St Albans – £24.00 per hour (Umbrella)

A Local Authority is seeking an experienced Electrical Services Surveyor/Inspector to support the delivery and maintenance of electrical services across its housing portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and manage cyclical electrical testing programmes, including remedial works
• Oversee day-to-day electrical repairs and maintenance
• Manage contracts covering fire detection systems, door entry, lifts, CCTV and digital TV installations
• Undertake inspections and surveys of electrical installations within council properties
• Provide technical advice to officers, residents and stakeholders on current legislation and best practice
• Support the planning, management and performance of M&E service contracts

About You:

• Strong experience in electrical surveying/inspection within housing or public sector environments
• Sound knowledge of current electrical and fire safety regulations
• Experience managing JCT contracts from inception through to completion
• Ability to act as Contract Administrator and manage external contractors
• Understanding of risk-based approaches to health and safety in residential properties
• Relevant electrical qualification (essential)
