Hertfordshire | £24.00 per Hour Umbrella A Local Authority is seeking an experienced Electrical Services Surveyor to join their Property Services team on an interim basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the management and delivery of electrical and building services across the Council's property portfolio, ensuring compliance, safety and value for money.
Key Responsibilities

• Undertake electrical surveys, inspections and risk assessments across Council properties.
• Manage the delivery of cyclical electrical testing programmes, including follow-on remedial works.
• Oversee day-to-day repairs and maintenance of electrical and building services installations.
• Manage contracts covering fire detection systems, door entry systems, lifts, CCTV and digital TV installations.
• Plan, manage and maintain mechanical and electrical services across the Council's estate.
• Supervise Building Services contractors and monitor performance.
• Manage project costs and budgets, ensuring value for money and compliance with Council procedures.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with relevant regulations, standards and health and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Experience undertaking electrical surveys and risk assessments.
• Knowledge and practical experience of working with JCT standard forms of contract.
• Experience managing electrical maintenance and compliance programmes.
• Strong contract management and budget control skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to business insurance.
