Street Lighting Engineer

Interim Street Lighting Engineer SW London / Hybrid | £38.21 per hour Umbrella

A South West London Local Authority is looking for an experienced Street Lighting Engineer to support the safe maintenance and delivery of street lighting and electrical highway maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the street lighting term maintenance contractor.
• Undertake street lighting surveys, inspections, site supervision and defect assessments.
• Produce technical lighting designs, reports and estimates.
• Manage LED and street lighting replacement programmes.
• Provide contract, project and budget management.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of street lighting installations.
• Maintain the Council’s Electronic Street Lighting Asset Management System.
• Undertake defect inspections and ensure appropriate remedial action.

About You

• Strong senior-level street lighting engineering experience and technical knowledge.
• Experience producing and assessing street lighting designs.
• Experience managing street lighting maintenance and replacement programmes.
• Good understanding of contract, project and budget management.
• Excellent site supervision and inspection skills.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive for work purposes.
